Receives Top Honors in Global Awards Competition
"A
Path To Healthy Living," a patient education
publication developed by Consumer Health Information Corporation
for the Pharmacia & Upjohn Company, was recently a Finalist
in the Annual Global Award Competition. The Global Award
is the most highly acclaimed international award offered
to the healthcare communications field. There were over
1,000 entries from more than 30 countries around the world.
Materials were judged by senior healthcare marketing professionals
from Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Italy, Spain and
the United States.

Path To Healthy Living" is a disease management
program for people with Type II diabetes. This comprehensive
home guide contains information that every patient needs
to know about diabetes including diet, exercise, lifestyle
changes, medication management and traveling tips. Several
compliance tools are included in the program to help motivate
patients to modify their daily lifestyles and manage their
treatments more effectively.
During its
development, the booklet was peer-reviewed by physicians,
pharmacists, and Certified Diabetes Educators. It was also
endorsed by the American Diabetes Association, the American
Association of Diabetes Educators and the National Diabetes
Information Clearinghouse.
